PURPOSE: An apparatus for self-adjusting a cable tension in a parking brake and a parking brake apparatus using it are provided to endow specific tension in a parking cable by elasticity automatically in case the tension grows less due to the droop of the parking cable. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for self-adjusting a cable tension in a parking brake comprises a first member(200), a second member(190), an elastic member(180), a bracket(150), a sector(160) and a stopper(170). The first member and the second member are connected to the parking cable connected from the brake drum. The elastic member moves the first member and the second member in the release of the parking cable to keep tension of a parking cable. The bracket turns along the rotation axis with the movement of the second member and the first member. The sector turns with the rotation of the bracket, and has a plurality of grooves on some part of the outer circumference. The stopper meshes with the grooves of the sector to block the rotation of sector. |
