PURPOSE: An antenna for a portable terminal and the portable terminal having the antenna are provided to lengthily form a radiation line within volume of a limited dielectric block, thereby reducing overall size of the antenna. CONSTITUTION: Second radiator patterns(22,14,18) are electrically connected to first radiator patterns(10,26,28,32). A coupling pattern carries out coupling of a flow of currents incoming to the second radiator patterns. Ends of each one side of the first radiator patterns and ends of each one side of the second radiator patterns are separated from each other in a predetermined distance. The ends of each one side of the first radiator patterns and the ends of each one side of the second radiator patterns are overlapped together in parallel.
