PURPOSE: A rotary switch is provided to give soft operation feeling to a rotary knob by adding click feeling by a magnet detent of a non-contact way. CONSTITUTION: The rotary switch includes: a rotary knob(10); a button part(20) installed to pressurize a switch terminal of a circuit board(80); a detent structure(60) generating click feeling in rotation of the rotary knob; and a signal sensing member(70) operating a sensor in rotation of the rotary knob. The detent structure comprises a hollow rotor(30) rotating with the rotating knob, a hollow support body(40), which is engaged with the lower part of the rotor, in which the button portion is slidably inserted, and a magnet detent(50) giving the click feeling by magnetic force in rotation of the rotary knob.
