A spraying apparatus, for spraying cultivated plants with a liquid containing a chemical additive, comprises a hollow housing 1, an additive container 8, a diluent inlet 2a, a mixing chamber 7 communicating with the container via passages 11, 12 and with a source of diluent under pressure via passages 2, 4, 5, 6, a doubleseating valve 9, 3 screw-operated by a knob 20, and a nozzle 15. The valve, which ensures that flow of undiluted additive to the nozzle is avoided, comprises a valve body 9 spring- loaded within and movable relatively to a valve body 3 so that, on operating the knob 20, the body 9 opens and closes after and before the body 3. |
