PURPOSE: A vibration damping apparatus of a shaft member using a shape memory spring is provided to damp the vibration of a shaft member and to damp vibration effectively while racing. CONSTITUTION: A vibration damping apparatus of a shaft member using a shape memory spring contains a shape memory spring(5) winding the center of a shaft member(10) and fixed with a piezoelectric sensor(15) on the outside, a vibration measurement unit inputting an electric signal of the piezoelectric sensor according to the vibration quantity of the shaft member wound with the shape memory spring and measuring the vibration quantity, and a conductive voltage control unit controlling the voltage transmitted to two ends of the shape memory spring according to the output of the vibration measurement unit.
