PURPOSE: An active headrest of a vehicle is provided to reduce the impact applied to the neck and head of a user in the rear-end collision of the vehicles. CONSTITUTION: An active headrest of a vehicle comprises a base(1), a moving unit(3), one or more gas springs(5), a latch member and a driving member. The base is fixed to a seat. The moving unit moves to the front of the seat against the base. The gas spring transfers the moving unit to the front of the sheet. The latch member is located between the base and the moving unit in order to maintain the state where the gas spring is shrunken. The driving member cancels the latch member in the rear-end collision of the vehicles. The latch member comprises a holder(7), a hanging lever, a removal spring and a pawl-lever. |
