PURPOSE: A backlight unit for a liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and simplifying a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(200) is combined with at least one side of a chassis. A plurality of LED(Light Emitting Diode)s(221) is arranged in the PCB in a predetermined shape. A pair of conductive pads(220a,220b) are in one end of the PCB. The conductive pads supply power to the LEDs and are inserted into a power socket(250). The power socket is installed on at least one side of the chassis.
