<p>PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for powdering an aluminium can are provided to automatically obtain fuel powder less than 1mm suitable for thermit reaction, using the minimum amount of liquid nitrogen. CONSTITUTION: A method for powdering an aluminium can comprises a step of crushing the aluminium can into small pieces of plate shape, and a step of shattering the plate-shaped pieces into powder form. In at least the crushing step, the part in which friction heat is generated is cooled with liquid nitrogen. An apparatus for powdering an aluminium can comprises a crusher(1), a grinder(2), and a nozzle.</p> |
