PURPOSE: A flash memory management method is provided to assign normalized spare blocks according to each area even though bad blocks are concentrated on a specific area, thereby magnifying duration of a product. CONSTITUTION: Bad block tables repeatedly stored in an RAM are compared(S550). It is decided whether the bad block tables are matched together(S560). If so, or if bad block tables are newly generated, the number of overall bad blocks of a flash memory is determined(S570). The number of normalized spare blocks is determined(S580). Based on the number of the determined normalized spare blocks, area tables are generated in an RAM of a temporary storage space(S590).
