FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of making articles using mineral fibre with improved hydrolytic stability, specifically to preparing aqueous binder which binds said article. The aqueous binder composition for mineral fibre contains a water soluble binding component, obtained by reacting at least one alkanolamine with at least one carboxylic acid anhydride and, optionally, treated with a base and at least one compound which improves hydrolytic stability, selected from monoalkanolamines; allylamines; peroxide compounds; compounds with at least one long aliphatic chain and at least one functional group and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). ^ EFFECT: obtaining binder with excellent binding characteristics relating to strength and rate of hardening, with good solubility in water and exhibits considerably improved hydrolytic stability. ^ 19 cl, 2 tbl, 15 ex |
