Process for obtaining a natural pigment, comprises breaking a bark of quinoa by abrasion, separating the bark from the seed by abrasion, and micronizing the bark to obtain powder. Independent claims are included for: (1) bark powder of quinoa, obtained by the above process, where the powder exhibits a particle size of 25-50 microns; and (2) the use of the bark powder of quinoa as cosmetic pigment.
