<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the aperture ratio of a display. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of pixels includes a first sub-pixel for a first color, a second sub-pixel for a second color, and a third sub-pixel for a third color. The first sub-pixel has a lengthwise direction in an extension direction of image lines, and the second and third sub-pixels have lengthwise directions in an extension direction of scan lines, and the second and third sub-pixels are disposed on one side of the first sub-pixel adjacently in the extension direction of image lines. The first sub-pixels are continuous in two pixels adjacent in the extension direction of image lines.
