<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for detecting sitting up motion precisely perceiving the sitting up motion of a subject lying on a bed. <P>SOLUTION: The device for detecting the sitting up motion has: a plurality of sensors 21 to 25 arranged in the bed where the subject lies, a motion determining section 43 for defining a plurality of transition condition meaning the specific posture of the subject and for determining one transition condition out of a plurality of transition conditions based on at least one of number of pieces in which reactions occurs out of a plurality of detecting signals fed from the plurality of sensors, the order in which the reactions occur, and time difference in which the reactions occur, and a processing executing section 44 for outputting output signals according to the transition conditions determined by the determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
