<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from moving back on a developer circulated through a first developer storage chamber for supplying the developer to a developer carrier and a second developer storage chamber for stirring the developer. <P>SOLUTION: This developing device 10 is provided with: the developer carrier; the first developer storage chamber 15 for storing the developer supplied to the carrier; and the second developer storage chamber 16 that is adjacent to the chamber 15, stores the developer, and communicates with the first developer storage chamber 15 at two places of a first opening 18 and a second opening 19. The developer is circulated between the first developer storage chamber 15 and the second developer storage chamber 16 by a first developer carrying screw 12 of the first developer storage chamber 15 and a second developer carrying screw 13 of the second developer storage chamber 16. The developing device 10 has a toner replenishing port 21 communicating with the second developer storage chamber 16, and a backward move preventing mechanism 30 for preventing the backward move of the toner on the circulating developer on the upstream side of the toner replenishing port 21 seen in the circulation direction of the developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
