<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which can calculate a required time period for a process according to a progress step at a time point of calculating required time period. <P>SOLUTION: A basic information storing unit 40 stores a class of each basic information which is used for calculating required time period for manufacturing process sequentially in a hierarchy according to a progress step at the time point of calculating its required time period. Definite information receiving unit 42 receives definite information with respect to performing the manufacturing process. A basic information acquiring unit 44 acquires basic information which are fixed according to the definite information received at the definite information receiving unit 42. A basic information selecting unit 46 selects basic information used for calculating required time period among basic information acquired at the basic information acquiring unit 44, according to the hierarchical class which the class of the basic information acquired at the basic information acquiring unit 44 belongs to.
