PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the changing of the direction in which a slider moves straight on smoothly. SOLUTION: A liquid jet apparatus is equipped with: (A) a nozzle for ejecting a liquid; (B) a seal part for sealing the above nozzle and moves between a seal position for sealing the nozzle in the direction of movement and an estrangement position estranged from the nozzle; (C) a slider for leading the above seal part to the above seal position by moving straight on in one direction out of two directions which are opposite mutually and cross with the above movement direction while leading the seal part to the above estrangement position by moving straight on in the other direction; (D) a motor; (E) a mechanism for actuating the above slider by the driving force from the motor; and (F) a driving force transmitting part revolved by the above motor.
