PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer circuit and transceiver that strikes a balance between the operation in high frequency and the high saturation characteristics. SOLUTION: The mixer circuit includes: a transistor couple consisting of switching transistors 8, 9 having the emitter terminals connected to each other; an input transistor 7 inserted between the emitter terminals of the switching transistors 8, 9 and a ground; and at least one base-grounded transistor 17 subordinately connected between the transistor couple and the input transistor 7. Local oscillation waves are applied to base terminals of the switching transistors 8, 9, an input signal is applied to a base terminal of the input transistor 7, and mixed waves of the input signal and the local oscillation waves are output from collector terminals of the switching transistors 8, 9.
