PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a X-ray generating device for improving the resolution of a X-ray image. SOLUTION: The X-ray generating device 1 uses an electromagnetic coil 12 for focusing electron beams E emitted from an electron gun on a target 5 during passing through an electron passage 7. Thus, X-rays are emitted frontward from the focused spot of the electron beams E on the target 5. At this time, the electron passage 7 has a rough face at a body part 15 closer to the target 5 than a pipe member 9, where an inner wall face 18a of an electron passage hole 18 is rougher. It is therefore possible not only to throttle the electron beams E but also to suppress the reflection of electrons injected to the inner wall face 18a of the electron passage hole 18, to the side of the target 5.
