<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically-sealed compressor capable of suppressing deterioration of motor efficiency caused by reducing internal stress remaining in a stator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This hermetically-sealed compressor 1 includes a hermetically-sealed casing 10, a motor 2, and a pair of intermediate members 7, 8. The motor 2 includes the stator 3 and a rotor 4 rotating in the stator 3. The pair of intermediate members 7, 8 are fixed to an upper end and a lower end of the outer periphery of the stator 3.
