SPINNING METHOD, AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING FIBER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning method by which a fiber can be produced in good efficiency by efficiently irradiating a thermoplastic resin with a laser beam to melt the resin. SOLUTION: The spinning method is carried out as follows. The laser beam in a line shape is formed by an optical system 2 based on the laser beam emit from a laser beam generator 1. The formed line-shaped laser beam is radiated along a prescribed irradiation line, and a material 9 formed of the thermoplastic resin material is continuously heated and melted on the irradiation line while moving the material 9 by a feed roller 10 so as to cross the irradiation line. The melted portion of the heated and melted material 9 is electrified by applying a high voltage to the material 9 by an electrode part 5 to electrify the material 9, and many needle-shaped protrusion parts are formed in the melted portion by the electrostatic force caused by the electrification to spin the fiber from the needle-shaped protruded parts to a collector 8.
