METHOD FOR FIXING HEAT PIPE AND HEAT SINK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink having a thin thickness and an excellent heat-dissipating efficiency and a method for fixing a heat pipe for simply fixing the heat pipe to a metal plate material under the state of the excellent heat-dissipating efficiency. SOLUTION: In the method for fixing the heat pipe, a rectangular opening section with an inclined plane widened towards a top face from an underside is formed to a peripheral section by cutting off a part of the flat metal plate material, the heat pipe is fitted into the rectangular opening so that a part of a side face section is brought into contact with the inclined plane and a heat pipe itself is deformed by a pushing and fixed to the metal plate material. The heat sink includes the heat pipe fitted into the rectangular opening section so that the flat metal plate material forming the rectangular opening section with the inclined plane widened towards the top face from the underside to the peripheral section by cutting off a part and a part of the side face section are brought into contact with the inclined plane, pushed and fixed to the metal plate material.
