#CMT# #/CMT# The cleaning apparatus (1) has a cleaning element (6) movable over a surface (10) to be cleaned. The cleaning element is guided on opposite sides of the surface on a guide (5) e.g. guide rail, and has a cylindrical shaped brush (16). The cleaning element is driven by a drive (20) with synchronized speed, where the drive consists of a motor (2) and a gear box. The guide rail has an opening that is downwardly aligned. The guide rail exhibits a length, which is equal to or larger than a breadth of the surface. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Solar system cleaning apparatus for cleaning a solar energy receiving surface i.e. solar cell, of a solar collector and a photovoltaic system (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The cleaning element is driven by the drive with synchronized speed, where the drive consists of the motor and the gear box, thus ensuring stable guiding of the cleaning element over the both sides of the surface, and hence enabling cleaning of the surface in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
