<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of flickers and horizontal lines, and to vary a polarity inversion line position of a video signal voltage for each frame using a simple configuration, in a liquid crystal display device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A video processing circuit 16 includes: an N-line inversion POL signal generation circuit 162 for outputting a POL signal; and a shift circuit 163 for shifting the timing of the POL signal. The shift circuit 163 has a frame counter 163a for counting and storing the number of frames and shifts the output timing of the POL signal, based on a POL signal output pattern outputted from the N-line inversion POL signal generating circuit 162 by a single line for each frame and then sequentially outputs the shifted POL signal to a source driver 112. Thus the polarity inversion line position of the video signal voltage, outputted from the source driver 112 on the basis of the POL signal, is discontinuous for each.
