PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic semiconductor which has high solubility in an organic solvent and is stable. SOLUTION: The organic semiconductor material is characterized in a thienothiophene skeleton shown by a formula. In the formula, substituents R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>12</SP>each contain at least one of a hydrogen atom and a halogen atom, an aryl group, a heterocyclic ring group, an alkyl group, a fluoroalkyl group, an alkenyl group, a fluoroalkenyl group, an alkynyl group, a fluoroalkynyl group, an alkoxyl group, a fluoroalkoxyl group, an amino group, an amide group, an imino group, a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group, an ester group, a nitro group, a nitryl group, a sulfide group, a mercapto group, a sulfonyl group, and a silyl group. Here, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>8</SP>are identical substituents other than a hydrogen atom, and R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>9</SP>are identical substituents other than a hydrogen atom.
