PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic metal complex capable of converting excited triplet state into light emission, and a light emitting element using this organic metal complex. SOLUTION: The organic metal complex is expressed by general formula (7). In the formula, R<SP>2</SP>-R<SP>14</SP>express each any of a hydrogen, a halogen element, an acyl group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, a cyano group and a heterocyclic group; M expresses a group 9 element, n is 2, and L expresses a ligand like a picolinate. A light emitting element, which is made able to operate for a long period of time, high in light emitting efficiency and satisfactory in element life, by using the organic metal complex as a light emitting material; and the light emitting device using the light emitting element; are obtained.
