<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false-twisted composite yarn capable of obtaining a fabric having a combination of spun-like surface touch, firm-textured touch, and soft touch feeling and also having high stretchability when used for clothing or the like by undergoing high-order processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The false-twisted composite yarn has such a sheath/core structure that high-elongation sheath yarns are alternately twistedly wound-reversed around low-elongation core yarns; wherein the core yarn and the sheath yarn are each comprised of such side-by-side- or eccentric sheath/core-type polyester conjugate fibers where one of the components essentially consisting of polyethylene terephthalate, the other essentially consisting of polytrimethylene terephthalate. The false-twisted composite yarn meets the following requirements: (1) the elongation difference between the core yarn and the sheath yarn is 30% or greater but less than 100%; (2) the yarn length difference between the core yarn and the sheath yarn is 15-60%; and (3) the interlacing number is 30-100/m.
