<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide staple fibers having little generation of fiber balls when the staple fibers for reinforcing cement materials are kneaded in the cement materials and being suitable for reinforcement. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The staple fibers for reinforcing cement having a fiber length of 6 mm or more, an aspect ratio of 40-400 are characterized by an apparent density of 5 ml/g or less when aggregated to be staple aggregates.
