<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor device for an elevator capable of preventing the optical sensor from becoming dirty by a simple method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical sensor device for the elevator has an opening at an end in a lower direction which is a gravitational acceleration direction, a body tube 0207 having an optical window 0206 at an end in an opposite direction of gravitational acceleration and the optical sensor 0205 arranged above the body tube via the optical window.
