<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that vibrations and noises are easy to be generated as the minimum value of the electric current energized into a motor is restricted by a counter-electromotive force of a motor when the speed of a carriage is decreased in a recording apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When either one or both of the amount of movement and a target track of the carriage are larger than a specified threshold value by the absolute values when the speed of the carriage is decreased, an inputting signal to a motor driver is held at a specified value.
