<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling toy which is used not only as a radio-control car but as a push traveling toy, and enables a player to have fun in navigating either by radio-control or by pushing with hands. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The traveling toy 1 is provided with a radio control part 41 including: a motor 17 for driving; a steering actuator 25; a receiving means; and a traveling controller 51 for controlling the motor 17 and the steering actuator 25 according to a radio signal received by the receiving means. The traveling toy 1 also includes: a gimmick part 43 having an imitation sound generator 63 and/or a lighting-up device 62; a mode selecting part 42 for controlling ON/OFF of the gimmick part 43; and a weight detecting part 44 for detecting weight to be applied to a toy body when the operation of the gimmick part 43 is made in an ON state by the mode selecting part 42 so as to operate the gimmick part 43.
