<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for preparing a robot teaching program enabling a teacher to easily teach a robot when the robot is taught. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This device comprises a process flow preparation and storage means 111 for editing and recording the series of processes for robot operation; a process flow display means for displaying the process stored by the means; an operation editing and recording means 112 for editing and recording the details of operation which specify the actions and operating positions of the robot in each process which are displayed by the means; a step operation display means for displaying the details of operation of the operation editing and recording means corresponding to the process selected through the process flow display means; an operation means enabling a teaching operation key to be displayed when the action to be taught to the robot is selected through the means and enabling the teaching operation by the display of the key; and a teaching means for performing a process-teaching synchronous control according to the operating information input by the operation means thereto and converting the operation information to the operation editing and recording means.
