<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed fishing net eliminating entrance of giant jelly fishes such as Nemopilema nomurai into the net by simple improvement and effectively catching fishes and being effective even when flow direction of ocean current changes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixed fishing net installed in a fishing ground in which ocean current or tidal current flows is characterized by installing a guide net constituted around the end of the leader net so that a U-shaped opening part of which horizontal cross section is nearly U-shaped surrounds the end of the leader net so that giant jelly fishes which moved toward the end port direction of a surrounding net from upstream side of the leader net along the leader net move to opposite direction and downstream direction after turning final end of the leader net over.
