<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating incineration ash that can reduce salts remaining in cleaned ash, and a system for treating incineration ash. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The system 100 for treating coal ash includes a treatment apparatus 11 for preparing ash slurry by adding an acidic cleaning liquid to coal ash, and a centrifugal dehydrator 21 comprising a means for dehydrating the ash slurry, a rinsing means for rinsing a dehydrated solid component with rinsing water and a means for dehydrating the cleaned material having been rinsed to prepare cleaned ash, characterized in that the rinsing means is controlled so as to rinse the solid component with acidic rinsing water and subsequently to carry out finishing the rinsing of the solid component with neutral rinsing water.
