PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, an image forming apparatus, a roller member and a method for manufacturing the roller member, in which the deflection of a belt is hardly caused even when the foamed elastic layer of a fixing auxiliary roller on which the fixing belt is stretched is formed by extrusion molding. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: the fixing auxiliary roller 22 having the foamed elastic layers 22bA and 22bB comprising a foamed elastic body extruded in a predetermined extrusion direction by extrusion molding, to be formed; the fixing belt stretched on the fixing auxiliary roller 22 and at least one roller member; and a pressure member coming into press-contact with the fixing auxiliary roller 22 through the fixing belt. The foamed elastic layers 22bA and 22bB of the fixing auxiliary roller 22 are divided into a plurality of sections in an axial direction and formed so that the extrusion direction of a part of the foamed elastic layer 22bA coincides with the forward direction of the axial direction and the extrusion direction of the other foamed elastic layer 22bB coincides with a direction opposite to the axial direction.
