<p>PURPOSE: A user authentication method of an image processing device having a touch input unit and the image processing device for performing the method are provided to determine user authentication according to a pressure value of an inputted touch except a password, thereby preventing illegal use by the third party. CONSTITUTION: A user's touch is inputted through a touch input unit(S202). Pressure for the inputted touch is measured(S203). A pressure value of the inputted touch is calculated. A password inputted through the touch input unit is compared with a preset password(S206). Based on the compared results and the pressure value of the inputted touch, authentication for a user is determined (S207~S211). If the passwords are equal, the authentication for the user is permitted.</p> |
