<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an alkylated aromatic compound such as cumene by directly reacting an aromatic compound such as benzene with a ketone such as acetone and hydrogen which can use a compact reactor to efficiently produce an alkylated aromatic compound such as cumene. <P>SOLUTION: The process for producing an alkylated aromatic compound comprises feeding, in an upflow manner, a raw material comprising an aromatic compound, a ketone, and hydrogen in a fixed bed reactor filled with a catalyst formed of a solid acid component and a metallic component containing at least one metallic element selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, cobalt, and rhenium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
