<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmless metabolic syndrome improver comprising a natural material. <P>SOLUTION: This metabolic syndrome improver contains β-1,3-1,6-D-glucan which is favorably derived from a microorganism belonging to Aureobasidium sp., and its solution using as a solvent a 1N sodium hydroxide deuterium water solution has two signals at about 4.7 ppm and about 4.5 ppm in<SP>1</SP>H NMR spectrum, and the viscosity of its aqueous solution at 30°C, pH5.0 and at the concentration of 0.5 (w/v%) is not higher than 200 cP (mPa s). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
