PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope acquiring the image of the inner peripheral surface of a hole in a wide range without the need of skill in an operation. SOLUTION: The endoscope 1 includes: outer shells 2 and 3 which are molded in a cylindrical shape and provided with a transparent window part 3c extending in an axial direction on the peripheral wall; a light source 33 and a solid-state imaging element 27 which are provided inside the outer shell; an illumination optical system 32 which irradiates an object with the illumination light of the light source through the window part; an objective optical system 17, 16 and 30 which includes an objective lens 17 for converging object light through the window part and forms an image on the solid-state imaging element; a support 4 which holds at least the objective lens of the objective optical system; and a driving mechanism which moves the support along the axis of the outer shell.
