<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impression decision processing method, a program and an image impression decision device, for specifying and deciding a partial area imparting impression of an image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A decision part 11 set with one of a plurality of impression labels divides a learning image read from a learning image storage part 21 into a plurality of partial areas in each of learning processing executed a plurality of times, constructs, in each partial area, a weak discriminator from each partial vector of a characteristic amount in each partial area, selects the weak discriminator of the partial area most contributing to the impression from them as the weak discriminator in the learning processing, and stores it in a learning result storage part 22. A strong discriminator is constructed by linearly combining the weak discriminators selected in all of the learning processing. The characteristic amount is calculated from an evaluation image and is input to the strong discriminator, and a degree of the impression of the evaluation image is calculated.
