<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently wash rice while suppressing for example crush of rice grains when the rice is washed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice washer includes a grip part 1 configured to be gripped by an operator and a rice washing part 2 provided below the grip. In the lower end of the rice washing part 2, a cylindrical peripheral wall part 10 is formed, and a rugged part such as projecting lines 12, 13 to be a presser member for rice is formed in the peripheral wall part 10, and where the lower end of this peripheral wall part 10 is arranged so as to be situated below the lower ends of the rugged part.
