<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve installation properties without influencing sealing performance of a thermoplastic elastomer boot 10 for a constant-velocity universal joint 1. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A boot mounting part of an outside joint member 2 has a non-cylindrical outer peripheral surface. A large-diameter mounting part 12 of the boot 10 has an inner peripheral surface following an outline of the boot mounting part of the outside joint member 2. The boot mounting part of the outside joint member 2 is positioned near an end surface 38 and has a projection part 32 forming a slant face 36 in which the diameter is gradually enlarged from an end surface 38 on the end surface 38 side. The boot 10 is composed of the large-diameter mounting part 12 engaged with the boot mounting part of the outside joint member 2, a small-diameter mounting part 14 engaged with a second rotation shaft 3, and a bent part 16 between the large-diameter mounting part 12 and the small-diameter mounting part 14, and comprises a chamfering part A, a straight-line part B with a projection E, and a dent C continuously formed from the end surface side on the inner peripheral surface of the large-diameter mounting part 12. The maximum diameter D<SB>2</SB>of the chamfering part A is larger than the minimum diameter D<SB>1</SB>of the slant face 36, and the dent C has a shape of following the projection part 32.
