PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting system for making a light control level variable as well as making a light control curve selectable, and selecting different light control curves depending on specifications of an LED light source. SOLUTION: In this LED lighting system having a control circuit 2 to light an LED 3 by receiving an AC power supply 1, and having a light control signal input means to control optical output of the LED 3 in the control circuit 2, the light control signal is a combined signal of a first light control signal and a second light control signal, a light control level is set by the first light control signal, and a light control curve is set by the second light control signal. The first light control signal is a pulse signal with a fixed frequency and variable duty or a pulse signal with a variable frequency, and the second light control signal makes the voltage amplitude value of a pulse signal variable.
