PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal block device, wherein a terminal cover 3 is provided on a terminal block 2 in a mountable/demountable manner and the shape and size of a through window 26 for each wire to pass therethrough is selectively set depending on the number and sizes of the wires 8 connected to terminals 6a-7b. SOLUTION: The terminal cover 3 is provided on a pair of side plates 9a, 9b of the terminal block 2 in a mountable/demountable manner. An inspection window 18 is formed in an upper face portion 16 for inspecting the energized condition of the terminals. At the opposite position to the terminals 6a, 6b on a front face portion 7, a slit pattern 25 is formed which consists of a plurality of slits 27 and in which an individual through-window for the wire connected to at least one terminal to pass therethrough or a common through-window for the plurality of terminals is alternatively formed with non-slit portions 28 between the slits 27 selectively ruptured when the wire 8 is connected to each terminal.
