The device has two rotatable dampers (16, 18) comprising pinion gears (24, 26) that cooperate with tooth of a toothed rack (32). The rotatable dampers are arranged either in a row or in parallel, where the rotatable dampers are designed as one-way damper. The rotatable dampers are dimensioned such that brake torques are produced in a movement direction and opposite direction respectively, where the produced brake torques are of different sizes. A cylindrical housing is provided in each rotatable damper.
