<p>The washing machine (10) comprises an opening means arranged to a detergent container (17), which has a closure element and connecting elements and is directly couplable with the washing machine over an external feed line and the connecting elements. The closure element is openable during or in sequence of coupling processes of the opening means and is automatically or manually releasably openable by the opening means. A pumping- and/or a dosing system are arranged to the washing machine for conveying and/or dosing the detergent disposed in the container. The washing machine (10) comprises an opening means arranged to a detergent container (17), which has a closure element and connecting elements and is directly couplable with the washing machine over an external feed line and the connecting elements. The closure element is openable during or in sequence of coupling processes of the opening means and is automatically or manually releasably openable by the opening means. A pumping- and/or a dosing system are arranged to the washing machine for conveying and/or dosing the detergent disposed in the container. A screw thread (23) and an arresting means are arranged to the washing machine. The detergent container is couplable to an external side of the housing of the washing machine, so that the supply of detergent (16) disposed in the container takes place under utilization of the force of gravity, is completely insertable into the washing machine, and is freely accessible in a condition coupled with the washing machine. For coupling the washing machine to the detergent container, the screw thread cooperates with a counter-screw thread (24) of the detergent container and the arresting means cooperates with a counter arresting means of the detergent container. The opening means comprises a plunger, which has an integrated water supply line (22) for delivering the detergent from the detergent container, a device for cutting a detergent container-side membrane, and a device for opening a detergent container-side valve. The connecting elements are variably formed to the washing machine, are selectively bringable to the washing machine after the detergent container to be coupled and provide the closure element of the detergent container. The connecting element has a unit for opening a detergent container-side auxiliary closure. The opening unit automatically opens the auxiliary closure during fastening the closure element to the detergent container. The connecting element has the pumping- and/or the dosing system.
