PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery hardly mixing foreign matter and hardly permitting the progress of a short circuit even if the short circuit is generated, and to provide an electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a step of forming a positive active material layer 12 on a separator 11 by injecting an active material together with carrier gas to the separator 11; and a step of forming a current collecting layer 13 in a vacuum process on the positive active material layer 12.
