COLOR DEVELOPER MICROCAPSULE AND PRESSURE-SENSITIVE COPY PAPER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color developer microcapsule showing superior solubility of an electron-donating colorless dye and enhanced color development.

SOLUTION: The color developer microcapsule encapsules the electron-donating colorless dye in a hydrophobic liquid containing methyl laurate and propylene carbonate (2-oxo-4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane). Pressure-sensitive copy paper is made by using the same. When the content of methyl laurate in the hydrophobic liquid is 5 to 95 wt.% and the content of propylene carbonate (2-oxo-4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane) is 5 to 95 wt.%, the excellent effect is achieved.
