A vibrator is placed in a hole in the bottom of a container for the food. A flat plate covering the outlet opening is spaced at a small distance from the edge of the opening and vibrates with a horizontal and/or vertical straight line motion or with a horizontal circular motion. The gap between the plate and the edge of the opening, as well as the amplitude of vibration can be varied to suit the particle size of the food being dispensed. The vibrator which includes an electric motor, is rigidly supported on a shell by struts. The vibration is transmitted by an arm to a plate whose distance from the edge of the shell can be set according to the type of food being dispensed. The upper surface of plate may be embossed with grooves in a triangular pattern. |
