PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate carrier tray 10 made of a faom resin, capable of surely preventing an accommodated glass substrate 2 from being moved in a tray due to vibration or the like and also surely preventing powdery dust from being produced from the foam resin. SOLUTION: The glass substrate carrier tray 10 made of a foam resin has an accommodating space 13 formed from a bottom panel 11 and four surrounding sidewalls 12a to 12d and able to accommodate the glass substrate 2 in a horizontal position. Recesses 14 are formed in the upper face 11a of the bottom plate so that the glass substrate 2 accommodated along the three sidewalls are prevented from contacting them. The four corners of the upper face 11a of the bottom panel have inside corners 18a to 18d that have walls 16 for supporting only the corners 2a to 2d of the accommodated glass substrate 2 from sides.
