PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method of an aluminum-based composite layer by which a composite layer of sound ceramics can be formed rapidly on an aluminum base material with satisfactory adhesion. SOLUTION: The forming method of the aluminum-based composite layer of forming the composite layer of the ceramics and metal on the aluminum base material 13 is characterized in that, when disposing a powder mixture 14 containing the ceramics and the metal on the aluminum base material 13, an exposure section 17, where the aluminum base material 13 is exposed from the powder mixture 14, is formed, and high density energy irradiation is performed in an inert atmosphere to heat a portion across the powder mixture 14 and the exposure section 17.
